Our Trip

We just returned from our Carnival Cruise to The Bahamas late last night. This was one of our best cruises I think we have taken. No complaints at all once we were onboard. We picked up Sarah, Anna's friend, and headed to Ocala, Florida which is closest we were able to get hotel reservations. Daytona 500 was the same weekend so all the rooms were taken. We paid a bit much for the rooms but at least we were able to get some rest. We then boarded the ship and had lunch. We saw three great shows where we laughed so hard and listened to some 80's music. The dancers were really talented. We ate & ate and walked & walked. We did some shopping in Freeport and then the girls and I did the shopping in Nassau. The four of us went and toured the Atlantis and had drinks at Senor Frogs with a bit more shopping. The girls had lots of freedom on the ship and so did we which was really nice. On the way home, we stopped at Daytona Beach and spent some time there, building sand castles or piles rather. We also stopped by our time share and looked at it. We've had it for several years but have never actually seen it. It was much more impressive than I had imagined it to be so that was a huge plus. We would go down this year but I think we'll have our hands full with our little one by the time our week gets here. Perhaps we could switch weeks and go earlier??

Prior to leaving on vacation, The three of us piled into the car and drove to Ninja's Steakhouse where we met Mick and James. Matt, Mick and I celebrated our birthdays which were the 13th, 11th and 8th. We had a lot of fun.

I still have unpacking and laundry to catch up on today. Oh, the joys of returning home.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise. I've never been on a cruise but we always discuss trying it out. I don't know why we've never taken the plunge because those that "cruise" seem to really love it!

Welcome back! I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise. It's a lot of fun, isn't it? I hope you tried some "Bahama Mama's and Bahama Papa's" at Senior Frogs.
